PR Lighting Presents New Product Showcase in Sri Lanka
2014-09-12

The island of Sri Lanka recently welcomed its first ever lighting industry networking event as Chinese manufacturer PR Lighting hosted a hugely successful marketing showcase.

Commencing on the evening of August 21st, around 70 key customers from all over the country (along with a media representative) attended the event, which combined a series of product sessions within a convivial social ambience.

The evening was divided into four segments. The welcome and introduction was immediately followed by an opportunity to try out the company’s new products; this led into a live lightshow, and finally a buffet.

Supported by local customer The Light House (Pvt) Ltd., PR Night Sri Lanka 2014 was staged at the Hilton Colombo. PR Lighting’s Lawrence Mao, introduced the company’s new season products, giving visitors hands-on experience before putting the automated fixtures through their paces via a fully integrated lightshow.

Lighting professionals from Sri Lanka’s rental staging, events, production, studio and TV studio sectors turned out in force to see a wide portfolio of products for all applications. Quantities of XS1200 Spot and XR 200 Beam made a dynamic stage impact while the new XLED 2007 Beam, with endless Pan and Tilt, and pixel control in the form of 2-2-2-1, was hugely impressive. Visitors were also treated to the new, compact XR 330 Spot, which features a variable beam angle between 3.8~ 42 and delivers fantastic brightness, as well as the new XR 330 Beam (featuring the Osram Sirius HRI 330W lamp). Both the XR 330 fixtures showed their ability to produce extremely strong and solid beams.

On top of this a giant LED Screen was installed to help present the company and demonstrate its projects.

Commenting on the event, Dinusha Perera (Chanaka) of The Light House said, “The event was extremely successful and we were impressed with the professionalism of PR Lighting. They were able to provide us with a great platform to network with the key people in our industry over cocktails, while customers showed genuine interest in the new range of products.”

Lawrence Mao thanked The Light House for their considerable efforts. “They not only provided the light and sound, a giant LED screen, technical support and set-up of the live spot, but also helped with the organisation and planning of the event — which contributed greatly to the success of it.”
