The Bucharest Ladies Orchestra performed with Romanian jazz singer and TV personality, OzanaBarabancea, recently at Bucharest’s Aqua ParcCrangasi, when around 2,000 people were treated to a first class performance.
The event was promoted by the European Cultural Center (Sector), who once again enlisted Temple Media, the PR Lighting distributors, to provide the technical infrastructure.
The imaginative lighting plot was conceived by SergiuArdelean, Lighting Designer and Director of Photography at Romanian Television, working with Temple Media. The company provided 20 of PR Lighting’s XR 440 BWS, which integrates three features (Spot, Wash and Beam) in a single unit. Using PR patented technology, it combines advanced 440W lamp technology with a superb optical system.
This all-purpose light, which has gained huge worldwide popularity since its launch, is part of a comprehensive rental inventory of PR Lighting fixtures held by Temple Media, and also includes a number of XR200, XLED 2007 and XLED 3007 heads.
Their CEO, Dan Chiorcioiu, says the XR 440 BWS is fast becoming a viable alternative for other integrated Beam/Wash/Spot units — and all three modes were used liberally during the orchestral concert.
In summary, he said, “These fixtures are extremely easy to use and we can deliver all the effects we need — Beam, Spot, Prism, Gobo and Wash — from a single head.
“This results in a tremendous saving on truck space and therefore on costs.”
